Example of a Party Tent

So you’re having a party/wedding/festival/any other type of celebration and you need a party tent. Sounds pretty cut and dry until you call the party tent rental company and find out that there are 1,000 options. First of all, there are usually three main types of tents to choose from:

1. Frame Tents
2. Pole Tents
3. Pre-decorated Tents

Frame Tents:

Frame tents are becoming more and more popular, mainly because there are no poles to obstruct a speech or dance floor for example. Frame tents are great for parties or special events because they are very versatile. They can be placed together in different shapes to fit the mold of your yard, or they can be an extension of your house if you’re expecting far too many guests to fit into your ranch style home. Stakes are usually used to hold down frame tents, especially if the weather is questionable. But if the weather is expected to be fair, you can usually just use weights to hold it down, this will allow for a quicker setup and takedown.

Pole Tents:

Pole tents are the more traditional kind of tent. There are three kinds of pole tents:

1. Tension Tents
2. Big Top Tents
3. Plain Pole Tents

Tension tents come in many different shapes and sizes. These are the fancy tents that are used for lots of weddings and bigger events because of their big wide-open style. They have very high roofs, which allow for a great dispersion of sound if you’re going to have a band or DJ.

Big top tents are not traditionally used as a party tent; they are more often used for circuses and things of that nature. However, some people may be forced by a begging son or daughter for this type of tent, in which case they’ll probably have a very tough time finding circus party tent rentals.

Plain pole tents are the most frequently used cheap party tents. These kinds of tents can be very plain, using poles for support in strategic places. These are great if you need a tent for a barbecue or something of that nature.

Pre decorated and ethnic Tents:

Lastly, there are ethnic tents. Ethnic tents are usually heavily decorated tents that are supposed to represent the art and colors of a particular ethnicity. Some common types of ethnicity tents are:

· Moroccan Tents
· Mongolian Yurts
· Tipis
· Indian Tents

More and more kinds of ethnic tents are being offered because of the growing melting pot we have here in the US.

Well I hope this brief description helped you in deciding what kind of party tent is the right one for your upcoming event, and remember, no break dancing is allowed in the tent if you’re over 50!
